Proofreading
Editing and proofreading are currently only available for german texts/german translations.
Standard Page (SP) = 1600 characters (including spaces)

You’re in the middle of finishing your text, but you want to make sure your language feels round and confident? With this offer you will get suggestions on how to enhance your style and wording in addition to everything covered in the Basic Proofreading.

Editing

1st round: from 5 €/SP (price upon request/sample)
Your first draft is finished, the next step is editing. This can proof difficult, because we grow attached to our stories. Together we will identify and bring out the potentials of yours and make sure its original charm remains. With suggestions and notes I will support you in bringing out the best in your story, whether concerning character and plot development, continuity errors or questions that were left unanswered. If there is a specific aspect you want me to review and that isn’t listed anywhere here, please let me know in your request.
I will pay attention to: plot, character development, continuity, theme persistence, readability, wording and phrasing, word order, style, worldbuilding, etc.
2nd round: from 3 €/SP
If you have changed a lot after the first round of editing or if any new insecurities have come up, you might want to book a second round of editing. I’m happy to work on your text again.
every additional round: 1 €/SP

PLEASE NOTE: There is no proofreading included in an editing commission. However, it is possible to book a combination of both.
What editing is NOT:
Editing is not ghostwriting. I won’t change anything in your text, I will make suggestions and support you in making changes, if you choose to. It’s up to you whether and how you incorporate my suggestions into your text.
Editing is not an all-round service. Services like Layout, Cover Design or publishing work are not part of an editing or proofreading commission. I do offer Book Layout as well as Cover Design, so if you are interested let me know and I will make you an offer for a combination of services.

Graphics & Illustration
You want to bring your story to life with handmade illustrations? Your game still needs playing cards or you want a single illustration as a present? Every illustration is unique, and therefore every commission is unique. This makes it difficult to generalize pricing for illustrations. Many factors influence the price, like style, time/complexity or rights of use. Below you’ll find my guidelines for prices. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask. I’m happy to work on small and bigger projects with you and guide you on what is possible. Also, don’t hesitate to get a non-binding price offer.

small illustration (e.g. one character or animal in simple style, indicated background or attributes, color): from 120 €

big illustration (e.g. one character with pet, details and small background): from 150 €

a picture book with 12 double pages: from 2000 €
Book Layout: from 1,80 €/SP (1600 characters) (price upon request)
A novel without any illustrations or other specialties is less complex to design than a storybook with lots of illustrations, special headlines etc. or a booklet with a lot of pictures. Present your project in a short e-mail and I will provide a non-binding price offer.
Cover Design: from 250 €
Illustration + Graphic Design (text and other elements): from 600 €
Graphic Design (illustration/picture is provided by the person booking): from 250 €
Cover-Illustration: from 500 €
